marishacamp asked: Hey, Elizabeth! I noticed you blogged about the Jesse Camp twitter a while back. I'm Jesse's sister. The RealJesseCamp twitter is NOT JESSE. We both took it as sort of a cruel joke, but honestly, RJC tweets things that would NEVER come out of Jesse's mouth, a lot of it is offensive, and I hate that people imagine that he really is this character.

A month without memes: The Elizabeth Taddonio...
Just wanted to give a heads up that there might be one less ‘like’ on your posts for the next month or so. I won’t be logging in to Tumblr or Facebook for a while. Mainly I just need a break from the Internet — jokes about wearing tin foil hats aside, being online all day for work is making me a little wonky in the brain. I also need to focus on a few longer-term commitment...

one thing that sucks about your own fridge and not your parents’ fridge or your best friend’s fridge or your best friend’s parents’ fridge is that you can’t just absent mindedly open it looking for something to happen because at the end of the day you bought all this shit, dummy, and there are no surprises in there.

Tonight we are seeing Craig Finn at the Larimer Lounge and it is just another example of a night when I wish bars served both booze and desserts.
I cannot tell you how many times I have craved cake, icecream, or pie before going out to a bar. I don’t even want any alcohol. Give me a buttercream frosting and grocery store birthday cake.

Today I went for a run along the Speer bike path on my lunch break and Bon Iver’s Holocene came on the shuffle and I looked up at the sky and the sun was waaayy too bright and I kept my eyes closed and ran with my head up like that, combination weird asshole and MPDG LIVING LIFE and I almost had to stop running and stick my head in a snow bank cause I started to cry.

from "The Day Lady Died" - Frank O'Hara
and for Mike I just stroll into the PARK LANE
Liquor Store and ask for a bottle of Strega and
then I go back where I came from to 6th Avenue
and the tobacconist in the Ziegfeld Theatre and
casually ask for a carton of Gauloises and a carton
of Picayunes, and a NEW YORK POST with her face on it
and I am sweating a lot by now and thinking of
leaning on the john door in the 5...

Mark Cuban knows what he’ s doing.
What do you think? I loooove tigers.
Do you like the muppets?
I looove the muppets.
You love a lot of things.
I do, which is better than hating a lot of things.

jennydeluxe:
tl;dr: basically, when Facebook files for IPO tonight, it will be like Christmas morning for tech reporters.
I’m personally pretty interested in all this info, too. I think anyone currently working in tech or at a company that might have future dealings with Facebook, whether through applications, “social marketing,” or anything else, should probably care, too?

nesbittslimesoda:
I’m listening to “Small Town” and I hear a little bit of restrained Billy Joel. Like, part of it is about provincial, regional, single minded thinking - a hallmark of Billy Joel characters - but also there’s a Springsteen-light vibe and you and Dan need to discover the exact middlepoint where he exists between Springsteen and Billy Joel, and the realms in which Mellencamp has...

– Mark Clements explains how teaching creative writing works.
I offered to guest lecture in his class as “Elizabeth Taddonio, who holds an MA in troll communications.” We’ll see how that pans out.

Today me and Dan volunteered at the Children’s Museum of Denver. We helped kids make party hats (I wore one all day that said “PARTY TIME” and had silver glitter shooting stars on it) and then we gave kids glowsticks and glow bracelets and hula hoops and showed them how to dance (I did. I showed the kids how to dance).
At one point I was helping one of the staff members put some...
